Digital Command Control (DCC) technology is about 30 years old. Hmm, doesn’t seem like it. In fact, for many of us – we’re still on the DCC learning curve. CV programming, speed matching locomotives, consisting, it takes time to really grasp all the DCC tools.
However, technology marches on. Enter Ring Engineering and the RailPro control system. Ring has borrowed the radio technology used to operate RC cars and RC airplanes and adapted it to run model railroads.
Using either track power or battery power, RailPro simplifies many of the tasks required to program and run DCC locomotives.
On Wednesday, October 13, Don Sweet from Remote Control Systems of New England will present the RailPro story at the October meeting of the Amherst Railway Society.
Don’s company specializes in radio control conversions for HO, S, O and G scale locomotives.
This meeting is open to the public.
Phil Johnson will be on hand with his recently published second book on the Hampden Railroad.
