RAILWAYS OF GREAT BRITAIN
This exciting program is presented by one of our
own, Mr. Brian Solomon, whose emphasis is innovative and spectacular photography. Brian is
also the author of 11 books, former editor of Pacific Rail News, and former associate editor
of Vintage Rails.
Brian will cover contemporary operations in England, Wales and Scotland,
including heritage steam railways, museums and historic sites, mainline and suburban
passenger trains, and EWS and Freightliner freight trains. Among the highlights will be the
Festiniog narrow gauge, the Eurostar (channel tunnel) trains, and London terminals. In Brian's
words, the program will have something for everyone from the latest EMD built class 66's to
the oldest locomotives in the world.
Please note: Members are welcome to bring models, photographs, etc, to the meeting to share. A table is set up in the rear for this purpose.

BIG RAILROAD HOBBY SHOW !! Feb. 3 & 4, 2001
!!
Once more we want to remind all of you of the opportunity to volunteer in
some capacity for the show. It's a wonderful way to meet other members (there are actually
over 500 of us), and there are many different things that need doing at different times.
For instance, you might help in the distribution of flyers before the show, or you may be able
to help with set-up on Friday or dismantling on Sunday. People who are unable to stay
on their feet on those concrete floors for long could be of help with show credentials
(badges) or with greeting people at the ARS hospitality table. Office-minded people could
donate some time to the show office. Please let us know when and how you could help.
Please print out this form and mail it to the address below.
