Amherst Belt Lines - Module Specifications
The Amherst Belt Lines is a modular model railway system comprised of independent, but standardized, portable sections that can be assembled in a variety of ways to form a fully operating model railroad.
By utilizing a set of standards, a Belt Lines layout can be assembled in many different ways with modules owned by multiple individuals. The Belt Lines has rarely, if ever, assembled a layout the same way twice.
Beyond basic construction, track and electrical standards, module owners are free to exercise their own modeling interests and creativity, and there are no requirements for modeling era or scenery as long as there is no impairment to the assembly of the module sections, or the operation of trains along the two main line tracks.
